Diagnosis and Mangement of Pituitary Adenomas

Diagnosis and Mangement of Pituitary Adenomas

Pituitary tumors are the third most common brain tumor, and are almost always benign. The tumor may affect hormone levels and through pressure on nearby tissues may lead to debilitating symptoms such as visual loss. The location of the pituitary gland just below the brain is a challenging target for microscopic and endoscopic neurosurgery. In these videos, Dr. Laws reviews the minimally invasive transnasal endoscopic approach for tumor removal and restoration of normal pituitary gland functions.
