Kidney Transplantation

Stefan G. Tullius, MD, PhD, Chief of Transplant Surgery, presents a living, related kidney transplant – a father donating a kidney to his adult daughter who has end-stage renal disease.  Highlights include a donor nephrectomy, performed by transplant surgeons Sanjaya Kumar, MD and Sayeed Malek, MD, using a minimally invasive, hand-assisted retroperitoneal approach, and reconstruction of renal arteries in the recipient, performed by Stefan G. Tullius, MD, PhD.
