Minimally Invasive Mid-urethral Sling Procedure

Vatche A. Minassian, MD, MPH, Chief of the Division of Urogynecology, demonstrates a minimally invasive mid-urethral sling procedure for the treatment of symptomatic stress urinary incontinence.  This procedure is successful in relieving stress urinary incontinence in over 90 percent of cases with very low complication rates.  In most cases, the procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis, and in some cases using only local anesthesia.
